Competency Evaluations

A precise assessment of current and future employees
Competency Evaluations are a means in determining employees’ linguistic abilities in a given language. This new product will provide you with an essential overview of existing and prospective employees’ language requirements.

Competency Evaluations are individual language tests, where employees will be interviewed and checklisted. During the Spoken Interaction, we will assess the employees’:
• Range of vocabulary
• Accuracy and fluency
• Spoken interaction and production
• Coherence

These will be assessed according to the CEF levels on a scale from A1 which corresponds to an elementary level to C2 which corresponds to a proficient level. When the Competency Evaluations have been fulfilled, the evaluator will submit a Completion. The Completion will consist of a narrative evaluation, indicating what the Competency required and which of the criteria the employee demonstrated, describing its strengths and recommending areas the personnel might need to work on in the future.

The assessed areas will cover:
• Listening Comprehension
• Reading Comprehension
• Spoken Interaction
• Written Production which will include a basic grammar test.

The assessment will take the student approximately an hour and a half.

We believe the key to competent performance is evaluation. Our new Competency Evaluation is an indispensable tool in identifying and assessing linguistic learning needs.
